For me, the CRT is the centerpiece of my setups. Its not the same without it.

I have an rca 20" , Samsung 14", and a sansui (orion) 27". All have component. And a Sony wega projector TV that actually has the best projector TV picture ive seen.

I just gave my trusty 26" Sharp to a friend. Had her 20 years. Only had composite though. Great sound.

I currently own a 21 inch Sony TV and a 17 inch NEC VGA monitor. I’d like to get an older monitor or a smaller TV because I’m thinking about buying an MSX2 and my TV doesn’t have anything in front of it to put the MSX.

Sadly only one. Its a Commodore 1084-S D1 and it glitches out, its front cover is broken off and the power button is constantly pressed in. Its currently hooked up on my Amiga 600 while my inactive C64 sits idly around without a display.

Would it be sacrilegious to hook the Amiga 600 up to a 15 KHz LCD?

if we are counting only consumer TVs, three. if we are counting CRTs in computer monitors and built into other devices, last time I counted I had 23.

lmao I wish. I own one arcade cabinet (that needs some CRT work, actually) but the rest are all old computers computer monitors. I really like compact Macs and similar systems

          Wow, you are definitely eccentric!

Now I can tell people I’m not too crazy, someone online has 20 of these!

My friends think I’m insane for having CRTs lol

None anymore. I’d like to get my hands on a CRT HDTV if I can find one. I saw a listing on Nextdoor a decade ago but it was old and the guy had wound up trashing it before I messaged him.

    none anymore.

my 36 inch big boy died a few years back, and it was too fucking heavy to cart around trying to find someone to fix it.

God my back hurts just thinking about it… 2 people should have moved that thing, yet I always did it by myself.

None because modern CRT shaders are awesome on emulators, and real consoles are clunky and break down.

Real console are perfectly fine if you know what you are doing, also not necessary at all to enjoy a CRT.

I have a questionably broken PVM and that’s my only CRT TV I have. I have maybe 4 or 5 more CRT computer monitors.

I only use them when absolutely necessary. I detest CRT coil whine, and at least currently have nowhere to put them so I’d also have to dig them out to use them.

None, I don’t have enough room for one and even if I did, I don’t know if I’d want one. CRT enthusiasts go on about how CRT is unmatched when it comes to motion clarity and I wouldn’t want to get used to that experience since we are higly unlikely to get any more of those displays and it could make everything else feel like a severe downgrade.

You are right. Nothing matches the response and depth.

Thought my retrotink 2x pro was good. Then I swapped back to CRT and its a world of difference.

Need a 2000 dollar oled and a 700 dollar upscaler to almost match a CRT…look what they need to match a fraction of our power.

None. Got rid of my last when I got married. Owned since brand new, was a 27" Toshiba w Component and S-Video. It worked perfectly well as a kids room TV, but I also got really sick of lugging it when moving and furniture got cheaper and less stable to hold something so heavy too, so it was time to part ways!

None, I’m all in on emulation and shaders now.

My last tube I got rid of around 2018. A 36" Sony Trinitron EDTV with component inputs for progressive scan. Ungodly heavy.
