That mold growing on last month’s leftovers in the back of the fridge would like to have a word…
Life finds a way…~
Jeff Goldblum just going to town on a female triceratops only to realize it’s a male.
I put my cat in the fridge once. She was fine. She found the chicken. She was happy.
…now the cat I put in the freezer is a different story.
Extremophiles in the freezer be like:
Almost inhospitable to most life. This makes the time to spoilage as long as possible by slowing the growth of microorganisms as much as possible while keeping fresh food palatable for as long as possible.
I get what you’re trying to say, but that’s already what the word inhospitable means. It doesn’t mean it makes life impossible or near impossible, it just means it makes conditions harsh for life.
inhospitable (adjective)
- (of an environment) harsh and difficult to live in
Right, Arizona’s by some measures inhospitable but there are cities there.
Oh! TIL! Thank you!
You’re welcome! =)
It slows microbes down but generally doesn’t kill them. I put sourdough starter in the fridge between bakes so I don’t have to feed it as often. The refrigerator is hospitable to life when that you just want to “chill.”
Are we talking the freezer compartment or the sulfuric acid compartment.
Frozen sulfuric acid compartment
We have wildly different fridge designs. Is yours one of those fancy ones that makes ice?
I think he pointed out it makes sulphuric acid.
A little fancier than that, mine doesn’t actually make the ice, it orders it directly from an ice breaker ship at the polar icecap and has it delivered via drone. A little more money, but worth it.
