I’ve said it before, but NixOS technically isn’t bad for beginners (assuming they’ll never operate another Linux distro - but let’s be honest, after you learn Nix, why would you?).
Unlike other distros, you can’t break Nix. You never need to reinstall. Sure, the advice you find online pertaining to FSH will confuse you, and you’ll wonder why the fuck anyone would ever need to set up a “snapshot”, but it won’t matter.
You’ll spend your days showing your friends and family your girthy flake, you’ll tell them how you use home manager to create a shell script INSIDE your home.nix module so it’s declarative - they wont understand, but happy that at least you’re over your catboy phase.
