Summary

Newt Gingrich blasted a Julia Roberts-led ad encouraging women to vote privately, calling it a sign of the sick values he attributes to Democrats. In a heated exchange with Sean Hannity, he accused the party of promoting dishonesty and moral decay in America, suggesting this reflects a broader erosion of societal integrity. Gingrich, who faced his own scandals, cited Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s recent split from the Democrats as further proof of disillusionment with what he sees as their corrupt influence.

Crazy I was about to say the same thing!

Hugely influential in turning the GOP from “Side of politics we can debate and respectfully disagree with” to “Completely unhinged violent movement based on panic, hatred, and intellectual brain rot.”

He’s basically described like some bygone disaster and yet he’s still kickin’. Holy crap.

There’s a cozy spot in whatever hell right next to Kissinger for this vile beast. Another spot beside it waiting to be filled is likely labeled “Murdoch.”

Man who cheated on his first wife while she had cancer and cheated on his second wife while impeaching Bill Clinton for having an affair, rails against the moral depravity of Democrats who encourage women to vote for whoever they want.

Okay can we stop with the whole “Clinton was impeached for an affair.” It was because it was with a staffer he has power over. It was extremely inappropriate. We shouldn’t be cool with men in powerful positions abusing those positions to fuck people they have power over. Monica Lewinsky was literally half Clinton’s age (22 and 49) and was horrifically abused by all of society AND CLINTON and HIS WIFE.

Like seriously if this was the president of a bank fucking some teller, who he is in charge of paying and promoting, no one would be confused why that banker should step down for abuse of power. The dude was president of the ENTIRE COUNTRY, and you can’t see how that’s abuse of power?

Like fuck Newt but also fuck Clinton who was buddies with Epstein. And him leaving his wife who had cancer is EGREGIOUS.

Eta: Lemmy is full of rapist apologists I guess. If you can’t understand how consent is VITAL and how it makes a world of difference, I hope you live a life being treated exactly how you treat others and women. There’s a man out there who will treat you, as a man, the same way. Good luck.

That is absolutely not what Clinton was impeached for.

The investigation in to Clinton began before he’d ever met Lewinsky, and it was over some real estate dealings. Because Clinton had not actually committed an impeachable offense, Ken Starr had to keep going back to Congress to ask for a wider scope.

The investigation took so long that after it began, Lewinsky was hired, Clinton won a re-election, there was sexual activity, word got out about it, and then Clinton lied about it under oath during a completely different deposition regarding a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by Paula Jones, which is what he was ultimately impeached for.

It wasn’t the affair or the harassment, it was the lie, and it was only the lie because they were absolutely desperate to impeach Clinton for anything by that point.

It remains that the problem with the Monica Lewinsky relationship is that Clinton had power over her, not that he simply cheated. It added validity to the other sexual harassment claims because it was also a clear case of sexual harassment.

I was quoting the other person about what specifically caused his impeachment. Regardless of the exact moment that caused it, the issue with Lewinsky remains as I’ve explained it: an abuse of power. It’s not that he “got impeached for a blowjob” or for cheating and when people phrase it like that, they are dismissing and ignoring the real concerns regarding abuse of power.

The point of the comment you’re replying to isn’t to excuse Bill Clinton, it’s to point out Newt Gingrich’s hypocrisy.

Okay can we stop with the whole “Clinton was impeached for an affair.”

See how this is the comment I took issue with and that’s what I started my comment with? Calling it an affair negates the abuse of power involved. As I explained ad nauseum. Just because you’re a man who doesn’t like respecting women, doesn’t mean I’ve been extremely clear.

But it wasn’t just an affair. It was an abuse of power. Afaik Newt wasn’t having an affair with a staffer. So it’s a false equivalence, you acorn.

Some women would be harmed by their husbands if discovered voting blue. I think those women feel a ringing in their souls when they watch that ad. Neut is grasping for any spin at all “ghwuaaahhh dishonesty!”. If he was aware of the women who’d wear their husbands’ reactions on their faces, he’d never admit it. But I guarantee the mere concept of sparking spousal abuse hasn’t even occurred to him, that he’s not seeing past the “dishonesty” part.

It’s like waving salami in your derpy blind dog’s face but he bites air 90 degrees in the wrong direction. Shit you’d think his smeller’s busted too. How the fuck he manages to use the bathroom without tracking his own shit through the house is a fukkn X-file.

Seriously, this same bunch has been bitching over women getting the vote, being able to drive, owning land, having a bank account (w/o male approval), no fault divorce, abortion, birth control for decades. Often this was done quietly, or if in a mixed setting, it was done as a “ha ha can’t you take a JOKE?” kind of way.

Now they have stolen abortion rights and in the process the corrupted qons on the “supreme” court indicated they want to do something not only about Teh Gheyz, but also about birth control. And now several of them are being much more open about their hostility to no fault divorce. And unlike in the past, it’s not the geriatrics that were older than the boomers; I hear this shit coming of Gen Z and Gen Y age people…we should believe them when they say this is their intent.

A lot of qons would constantly clutch their pearls and try to get me silenced when I spoke about the xtian taliban. They were only so mad because THEY KNOW IT IS TRUE. The xtian taliban is a thing and other than bullshit doctrinal differences no one outside their little book clubs give a flying fuck about, THEY ARE THE SAME EXACT THING as Islamist extremists. Just because they are not allowed to murder gays and women right now doesn’t mean they get any special points.

    Our moral backbone, Newt Gingrich:

    https://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/exclusive-gingrich-lacks-moral-character-president-wife/story?id=15392899

She (Marianne Gingrich) said Newt moved for the divorce just months after she had been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, with her then-husband present.

“He also was advised by the doctor when I was sitting there that I was not to be under stress. He knew,” she said.

Gingrich divorced his first wife, Jackie, as she was being treated for cancer. His relationship with Marianne began while he was still married to Jackie but in divorce proceedings, Marianne said.

All of this was going on in private, while publicly, he was spearheading the vanguard of what has become the modern Christo-fascist movement. “Moral Majority,” he called it. While cheating on his terminally ill wife.

I mean, he’s right in one way, you certainly ought to be able to talk about who you are voting for without fear. Communication, debate, and choose for yourself. So really the far right are just reaping what they have sown, I don’t see how he can blame the ad.

Women should vote this time because they might lose the right to vote next time. I guarantee that if Trump wins but its clear that many women voted against the wishes of their husband some Project 2025 shit heel is going to come up with the idea that men should be able to vote by proxy for their wives so that they don’t vote wrong and cancel out their husband’s vote.

Absolutely. And if you can’t, you’re in the wrong marriage. If women were free to leave Republican husbands without fear of harm, red-cap affiliation would be a more telling demographic for social isolation and lonliness than it already is.

    Every accusation is an admission.

If the social integrity of Americans (not all, you know which ones) was in good condition, women would not need to hide their vote due to fear of retaliation.

Newt Ginbitch wants women scared and repressed, wants morals to decay, because if not most women would vote to keep their rights.
