Reminds me of all the examples of police brutality where the conversation always centers around how they did or didn’t “violate department policy” as if that somehow trumps the laws of the land.

I don’t think he can actually do that, but even if this works it mostly hurts older voters. He’s eating the chess pieces again.

Not having mail-in voting would hurt workers who either can’t take the time off or would have to suffer not having that income for the day. Add on top of that the constant barrages to polling locations, limiting the number of locations, and some people won’t even get to vote after waiting all day.

It’ll hurt everybody. My state has had mail-in only voting for decades now and we have much higher turnouts than most other states.

Those should be used instead of USPS anyway, and it would ultimately make it so states could just switch to those and not care about the postal service. While it is more convenient to mail it and would absolutely affect turnout in some way, it’s not much more difficult to go a few blocks (or stop while going to the grocery store) and drop off your ballot. It would remove the power of this illegal order since it’s centered around the USPS not delivering ballots to election facility.

How are they protected? I imagine a truck running in to it or a bit of chemicals would invalidate the votes. Only in blue districts of course.

This was attempted in Portland during the last major election, and while a handful of votes were invalidated, because they were picked up so frequently there wasn’t many. Also the dumbasses that did it didn’t wait for the election to be almost complete, which allowed for those with affected ballots to revote.

It also made them improve drop box security this time around, so it’s not as easy to tamper with the votes inside now.

Remember, the alternative here would be allowing the feds to systematically throw away massive amounts of votes in blue cities via USPS. Ballot dropboxes are way more secure than dealing with the USPS where your ballot is treated like normal mail at best, and something to discard at worst.

Yes it will, but statistically it would hurt older voters the most. 40% of voters 65 and older vote this way.

I’m not saying this is a good thing, I’m just pointing out that this won’t help him as much as he thinks.

If it “works” it’ll be in being applied selectively. They can not apply it in red zip codes and apply it in blue ones, aided by whatever voter database Republicans build. Say some sort of grandfather clause where certain types of existing voters (like those whose grandfathers were all voters) didn’t need to reapply.

    States run elections.

    Blue states should ignore this.

Red states can go ahead and obey their pedo god and not tally as many conservative votes.

Except it’s possible some less than ruby red states would flip due to low Republican turnout since gas prices are up. But instead of flipping blue, this might be all it takes to keep it red.

It’s government overreach and gives the states nonsense to point to. “Our hands were tied. We had to do this because the federal government said so… We stay in office. Checkmate”.

More like signs an order to produce his own ballots as it contains no measure to stop States just doing their mail in Ballots.

May we all enjoy the legal battles and make sure to inform people how to vote properly (IE don’t treat the Illegal EO ballots valid)

I do declare! That my hair is awful and he is as Orange as an oompa loompa. That’s the only EO that could be factual from that dude.

Though I’m Canadian so he can suck ass as far as I’m concerned since he ‘asked’ us to be a part of his failing Empire.

Seriously why aren’t the US citizens revolting from what he does in all the US people’s name. It is the entire US populace he puts on his stain afterall. In a democracy people have the power are we to assume that the US citizens condone his actions?

I mean I know many don’t agree but seriously some shit needs to be stepped up to show so if you don’t. This dude is wrecking the entire world economy and world relations. Which is exactly what so many billionaires want so they get their slice of the world.
